As a patient of St. Francis Hospital & Health Centers, you are important to all of the 4,000-plus employees who work here on your behalf.
Whether you are planning major surgery, having a baby or using an outpatient service, we want to provide you a positive, healing experience.
The information below will help make sure your visit is peaceful, personal and tailored to your needs.
Patient Amenities
To make your stay pleasant and comfortable, we offer these amenities:
- Quality meals: St. Francis offers At Your Request Room Service, which lets you order breakfast, lunch and dinner from a full menu of delicious choices. This service is available daily during normal mealtimes. Guests who would like to dine with you may purchase a “guest tray ticket” from the hospital cafeteria or gift shop.
- Telephone services: Incoming calls are available between 7 a.m. and 9 p.m. daily. Outgoing calls are available 24 hours a day. The daily charge for telephone service is added to your hospital bill. You also can make long-distance calls collect or billable to your home, calling card or credit card. ·
- Television services: A cable-ready color TV is operable from your bedside console, with closed-captioning available upon request. The St. Francis network includes more than 60 channels. The daily charge for this service is added to your hospital bill. (To avoid the charge, simply do not turn on the television set.)
- Mail and flowers: Our helpful volunteers deliver personal mail and flowers to patient rooms daily. If mail arrives after you leave, we’ll forward it to your home address.
- Newspapers and magazines: Keep current by purchasing local newspapers at stands located throughout the hospital. If you’d like to receive magazines at no charge, call Volunteer Services at (317) 783-8192 (Beech Grove), (317) 865-5192 (Indianapolis) or (317) 831-1160 (Mooresville).
- Senior Promise: The Senior Promise program provides special benefits—including discounts on telephone and TV usage during your stay, free insurance counseling and free parking—to patients and visitors who are 50 or older. Enrollment is $15 per year. For more information, call (317) 782-6660.
If You Are Hearing Impaired
We offer telephone amplifiers, closed-caption television, TTY/TDD, relay service and interpreter service to serve patients who are deaf or hearing impaired.
Wi-Fi Access
To help you and your loved ones keep in touch during your hospital stay, free wireless Internet access is available in most patient rooms, select waiting areas, all cafeterias, emergency rooms and nursing stations. Look for the signs marked “WiFi Accessible.”
Visitors are welcome to connect their laptop computers, PDAs and other WiFi-capable to our “guestnet” wireless network. To access guestnet, you must agree to these usage terms and conditions.
This information is designed to help you prepare for your next visit to St. Francis. Your comfort and care are our top priorities.
